Gaudencio Anjos Rodrigues "Dencho", 73, of Pawtucket, RI passed away on November 19th 2024 in the hospital surrounded by his children, siblings, and loved ones.
Gaudencio was born in Brava, Cape Verde, to Eduardo and Cidalia Rodrigues on May 28th 1951. He attended school in Cape Verde which he received his Associates degree. Upon graduation he attended the police academy and served as a police officer for 10 years. He also worked as a tradesman and known as a “Jack of all trades” from carpentry, maintenance, and so many more.
He enjoyed taking care of his dogs, birds, rabbits, riding his motorcycle, and many more. Spending time with his friends and family. Everyday and every morning he would make sure to have his bread and coffee with the Gomes family. As well as having his joy rides and laughs with his best friend Albertino Barbosa.
If you know “Dencho” he had a big heart and would do anything for his loved ones. Also, known as a ladies man with being divorced from four ladies who were part of his life; Lutianha Fernandes, Fatima Dacosta, Ethel Rodrigues, and Delma Rodrigues.
Gaudencio is survived by his daughters Mindy Rodrigues, Sandra Rodrigues, Kathleen Rodrigues, Lynn Martinez, Luisa Rodrigues, Irisone Rodrigues, Ana Marie Rodrigues, and Nicole Lewis. As well as his sons Nelson Rodrigues, Paulo Rodrigues, Bubakar Rodrigues, and Eduardo Rodrigues,one uncle Julio Dias, beloved grandkids, and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his children Ildebrenda Oliveira and Joao Alfred Rodrigues and his brother Joao "Nenei" Manuel Rodrigues.
Gaudencio is survived by his brothers and sisters, Carlos/Matilda Rodrigues, Eduardo/Ana Rodrigues, Eguinaldo Rodrigues, Claudina Rodrigues, Osvaldo Rodrigues, Carlos Rodrigues, Virato Rodrigues, Marlise Rodrigues, Gloria Rodrigues, Francisco Rodrigues, Joao Dasilva "Briz", and Walter Rodrigues. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th, 2024 at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln from 4pm-7pm. Burial Private.
